'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Please Steff & Dave Lay On Buses for 3-5K Imps.

Please Steff Wright and Dave Roberts - lay on the Buses and let`s have 5,000 Imps at The Reebok.

This third Round tie at Bolton is the biggest game for us since the playoffs.
The Imps took 8 coaches to Northwich on Saturday with half again travelling by car across the country to Cheshire. Some braved the snowy Pennines whilst the buses had to go via Stoke. But this game will be massive - an Impvasion not seen since 2500 Imps went to Peterborough and Notts County. The Cathedral City, gripped by cup fever, will be eager to join the crusade to Bolton, and cheer on the Imps. The experience on Saturday - one drum, one voice, one passion was truly something else. 600 in full cry on a terrace was something else. And even with the microphones turned off, being there guarantees you will experience heckles on the back of your neck and a comradeship not known outside football. Genuinely, my son and I will treasure Saturday until the day we die, though cheering the Imps on to victory at the Reebokwill be another priceless momento!

The Reebok holds 28,000 with the minimum allocation deemed to be 10% for the away side according to the FA. Bolton are doing a £10 deal against West Ham this Christmas meaning. We will be housed in the South Stand at the South end of the ground, which can hold up to 5,000 supporters, although the normal allocation is nearer 3,000. Away fans get the whole of the upper tier with home fans sharing the lower, though we may well get the lot with the Trotters unlikely to sell out.

The question is will the club pay for the coaches for the second round in succession bearing in mind we could need more than 20? Or could the council talk to their school coach contractors to help out as clearly Cup fever has gripped the City?

Should the cost be prohibitive how about a voucher system? The club could offer free travel again maybe based on say 2 vouchers from the 3 home games between now and the game with season ticket holders automatically given passage? This would boost the pre New Year gates, though the Port Vale game is tomorrow night.

Please Steff Wright and Dave Roberts - lay on the Buses and let`s have 5,000 Imps at The Reebok.

Simply massive - surely 2,500 at least will travel to this one and what a day out it will be.

Just think about the co2 that it would reduce by laying on coaches as well, we are told to cut our milage down!

If there is no TV money involved I would rather we kept the cash to bring in/or keep players in the Jan window.
lindumimp
thats a good point lindum . sorta catch 22 situation me thinks
cheshireimp
that will be amazing if there is we dont even get 5,000 people at sincil bank
leeimp95
Bolton fans are predicting about 8 to 10 thousand gate as the club wont play their full first team. There wouldnt be any change out of £10,000 if we shipped 3,000 fans for free,so without tv and only 50% of the gate after expenses how can you expect the club to do it.
denno4
I don't think there will be any free coaches to be honest. Although it would boost the Imps following massively!

Everyone should pay regardless, stop moaning and get yourselves there for this 'one-off' chance away to Top Level opposition in an excellent Stadium.
