'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Keith Alexander 1953 - 2010 Rest in Peace.

Though Lincoln Grimsby, Macclesfield, Bury, Peterborough and football as a whole share a huge loss Vital Lincoln would like to send our condolences on behalf of our memebers to Keith`s wife Helen and his family, who we must remember need to grieve.

That is not to say we cannot play our part, for today is the day we bury a truly great Imp.

There has been respectful silence as the Vital front Page adhered to a two day period of reflection and mourning over the weekend. On Saturday Macclesfield released 53 white doves in the centre circle celebrating his life prior to the 2-0 relegation staving win he would have wanted over former club Bury. Keith was a football man from the cradle to the grave. Acting manager, friend and broken hearted surviving half of a truly inspiring managerial double act, Gary Simpson is suitably the leading Pall bearer today.

For those who cannot be at the Cathedral at 2 p.m, in the Magna Carta from midday or in the crowd of well wishers, but wish in some way to participate via the Funeral thread please click HERE

KEITH ALEXANDER K=Knowledgeable, kind heart and always on the ball E=Earnest, encouraging the big man who always walked tall I=Influential, individual someone who was always fair T=Tenacious, truly talented which you love to share H=Humorous, honestly humble taking things on the chin come what may Keith Alexander Rest In Peace to the legend you have become today
