Average Player Ratings V Halifax (H)

The Imps quickly forgot about their stunning 4-2 win away at Wrexham with a lacklustre display against Conference North side F.C. Halifax Town.

The Shaymen dominated at times against City and as such the ratings are once again ones to avoid if you are squeamish! Adam Smith took the wooden spoon with a quite staggeringly bad 2.80, the second worst average score of the season! Alan Power's 2.6 against Ebbsfleet still stands as the poorest City performance, while Paul Robson's 3.22 against Alfreton had previously been the second lowest mark for a starter. John Nutter, Gary Mills, Mark McCammon, Jake Sheridan and Peter Bore all 'boast' the dubious honour of going sub-4, too.

The man of the match this week (having unusually finished towards the bottom against Wrexham) was once again Paul Farman, who averaged 7.00. He took the plaudits ahead of second placed Tom Miller, who scored 6.10 - the former Newport man's score means he still has the best average (6.66) to Paul Farman's 6.52.

No other City player made it past 5.5 on Saturday though, while David Morgan took a score of 3.56 to go with his early bath!

City's average player ratings are as follows:

Paul Farman 7.00
Peter Bore 5.10
Andrew Boyce 5.50
Tom Miller 6.10
Peter Gilbert 5.40
Adam Smith 2.80
Gary Mills 4.10
Dan Gray 4.80
Nicky Nicolau 5.00
Conner Robinson 4.90
Jamie Taylor 5.40

John Nutter 4.11
Colin Larkin 4.78
David Morgan 3.56

Hopefully the players can beat the average rating of 4.91 on Tuesday evening to quickly banish the memories of the first fixture!

Only half decent performer on Saturday was Farman so not surprised that he got 7.

Well, the ratings will certainly be much higher for the replay after that 2-0 victory!
