Gilbert Signs Short Term Deal

Gilbert Signs Short Term Deal

Lincoln City have today announced that experienced left-back Peter Gilbert has signed a short term deal with the club which will run until January 2nd 2013.

He had only recently joined The Imps on a non-contract basis and has done enough to impress manager David Holdsworth and earn himself a deal.

Gilbert made 78 appearances for Plymouth Argyle between 2003 and 2005, 41 appearances for Sheffield Wednesday during 2005 and 2009 (Includes loan appearances during 2005-2006 season), 30 appearances for Northampton Town between 2009 and 2010 and 57 appearances for Southend United between 2010 and 2012. He has also been at Birmingham City, Leicester City, Doncaster Rovers and Oldham Athletic.

Pleased he is staying for a bit longer. Hopefully if he continues to play well Holdsworth will be able to keep him after January 2nd.
