Average Player Ratings V Braintree + Barrow

Average Player Ratings V Braintree Town

The Imps managed to stretch their unbeaten record to eight and secured 13th place in the Blue Square Premier with wins over Braintree and Barrow, finally raising a bit of optimism and reviving the Lincoln Loco! First up was a 3-0 win over struggling Braintree, and although there weren't quite the outstanding scores we've seen in recent weeks there were a collection of solid sevens scattered with a few eights. Leading the way on average was a slightly surprising selection - that of Mo Fofana. Having regularly done the dirty work for few plaudits, Fofana scored 7.83 against the Essex outfit to take first place. Tom Miller (7.67) and Jamie Taylor (7.50) were once again there or thereabouts! In terms of posters, the kindest poster was Julestheimp (7.21) while Nottyimp was less enthused with the lowest average of 6.57.

A tricky trip to the North West followed, as did another three points. This time though City reverted to a rear-guard action and the top rating went to someone who has taken a bit more of a backseat in the last few games - Paul Farman. The former Gateshead stopper was back in the limelight with a rating of 8.40, far ahead of second placed Alan Power (7.40). Substitute Vadaine Oliver bagged himself a goal of the bench and was rewarded with a rating of 7.20, which tied him with Tom Miller just ahead of Andrew Boyce (7.00) in 4th.

P. Farman 8.40
D. Gray 5.80
