'If It's Football, It's Vital'

VL Members MOTM V Walsall (A)

Vital Lincoln members have voted for who they believe was The Imps man of the match in the 3-2 victory against League One opponents Walsall in the FA Cup on Tuesday night.

It shows that midfielder Alan Power is the winner with 39% of the votes.

Power 39%
Oliver 15%
Miller 14%
Farman 11%
Fofana 7%
Bore 4%
Boyce 2%
Gilbert 2%
Mills 1%
Smith 1%
Taylor 1%
Sheridan 1%
Gray 1%
Nutter 1%

Here's what supporters had to say about the teams performance in response to the question 'Who was your MOTM V Walsall?

'The whole team.'

'The whole team, the fans, the backroom staff, and David Holdsworth!'

'Fofana is rapidly becoming my favourite player at the moment. Some solid performances of late.'

'Fofana sounded very involved from the radio commentary - made a few crucial tackles by the sound of it.

Mo Mo, Mo Mo Mo Mo, Mo Mo Mo Fofana'

'Oliver edged it due to the impact he made (literally) when he came on.'

'It was a magnificent team performance, Fofana and the centre backs were awesome but if I have to name one it was Power for me.

Going forward, his understanding with Taylor and Sheridan was brilliant he ran and ran, giving their defenders no time on the ball. He took his goal sublimely in front of the travelling fans when many of us thought he might cock it up.

There was one moment of skill that was reminiscent of Peter Gain at his best, taking the ball on the outside of his left foot, turning and going passed their player without letting the ball touch the ground. On a night where effort, belief and simple no nonsence football were the key his goal and that moment meant he shaded the MOM from anyone else.'

'Absolutely every single one of the lads played brilliantly last night, I thought Power was immense and probably had his best game in a city shirt. Couldn't pick one player though, so proud!'

Holdsworth delight at Imps victory

Think only Smith sounded like he didn't really have a good game.
