Bush signs for Lincoln
The revolving door at Sincil Bank has been working overtime since the re-opening of the January transfer window and there have been more comings-and-goings at Lincoln in the past couple of days.
Yesterday saw the departure of former Grimsby and Harrogate Town man Peter Bore, with Imps manager David Holdsworth releasing the utility player by mutual consent after a poor season in which he only appeared seven times in the Blue Square Premier.
Also heading out of the club, but only on loan, is goalkeeper Jake Turner, who has headed to Grantham Town for a month and should play in the Gingerbreads' clash Mickleover Sports tonight. A summer signing from Scunthorpe, Turner has yet to feature for the Imps and has been pushed down to third choice following the arrival of the experienced David Preece.
Coming in to the club today is Gateshead defender Chris Bush, who has penned a one-month deal with the club. The 20-year-old Londoner started his professional career with Brentford, but never played for the Bees, during which time he saw loan service at Salsibury, Woking, AFC Wimbledon and Thurrock.
A permanent move to AFC Wimbledon followed after rejecting a new contract at Brentford, but lasted just one season at Kingsmeadow, before heading north to join Gateshead in the summer of 2012. He has been a regular with The Heed this season, playing 20 times and scoring the one goal. Predominantly a left-back, Bush can also play in central defence and may make his debut for Lincoln at Southport tonight, with Holdsworth's options being limited due to injuries.
