Average Player Ratings V Southport (A)

Look away if you're a defender.

City crashed to a 4-2 defeat away at Southport on Tuesday night, and quickly their run of three games unbeaten read more worryingly as six games without a win. It was City's back five who were left to take most of the blame too, as the starting back four and 'keeper took a combined average of just 4.05.

The player who fared best was Alan Power, and not for the first time in recent weeks. The Irish midfield maestro took a rating of 6.75 to edge ahead of sub Colin Larkin (6.5) and Jamie Taylor (6.25). It seems as if December's player of the month is gunning to take the spoils in January too.

Elsewhere, and debutant Chris Bush scored an average of 4.5 from the bench, not helped by his role in Southport's 4th goal while a welcome cameo for Conal Platt earned the ex-Liverpool winger a mark of 5.5.

Thanks to those that travelled and supplied ratings!
