Average Player Ratings V Newport County (H)

I usually try and start with the 'good' in these, but when two players score under 2 it seems a little difficult to start with the higher scorers.

Those two offenders were Paul Robson and Andrew Boyce, the former taking the worst score of any player this season. That mark was 1.25, eclipsing Aristide Bassele's 2.11 against Woking. Posters remarked that Robson "gave away two goals", that "everything bad happened on his side" and even more candidly argued that it was a "disgrace" he has played for Lincoln so many times.

Boyce meanwhile has not been under 3 before, but this horrible score is the continuation of a decline in form that included a 3.93 against Grimsby at home and a 4.78 against Woking. Luke Imp argued that he "should be taken out of the firing line" while Snats thought it was "worst" Boyce performance since he signed in the summer.

On the more positive side, and left back Chris Bush scored the highest on his home debut (6.67) edging out Alan Power (6.58). The Gateshead loanee thus prevented City's stand-in captain from taking what would have effectively been his fourth man of the match award in a row. Many posters including BrownImp noted that Bush was good on the ball although he was a little suspect defensively.

In terms of overall marks, and Snats was by far the most generous in awarding Lincoln an average score of 5.31. Out of the other posters, only Plumbob made it to 5 (5.00) while the rest of those rating scored Lincoln between 4.00 (Impecunious) and 4.77 (Stevie_Imp, Luke Imp, dutch1585). The average mark turned out to be 4.58.

Hopefully not going to be too many more games where we have to give the players such low ratings!
