Average Player Ratings V Forest Green Rovers (H)

City's winless run extended to eight as they went down to a disappointing 2-1 loss against Forest Green on Saturday.

In terms of ratings, and it was the loanees who fared best with Vital's posters this week. Jake Thomson took the highest score with a decent mark of 6.36, the highest since he joined on loan from Newport. It was another Jake and another loan signing who came in second place, with a lively cameo from Jake Jones earning the winger a score of 6.00. Posters were pretty unanimous that it ought to be a six for the Walsall wideman, with only Luke Imp (5.00) and plumbob (7.00) willing to deviate from that benchmark score! Posters commented that Jones was 'lively', 'promising' and argued that he showed 'passion'.

At the other end of the spectrum, and people were less than impressed with full back Dan Gray and Conner Robinson, who both took marks of 4.36. That was Gray's second lowest mark after his 4.33 in the September loss to Alfreton, and as he has only missed three games all year Saturday's performance really was lower than we have come to expect.

The most generous poster was implincs69, who awarded every single player a six and labelled the performance as completely 'average'. The second highest mark was 5.57, while the lowest was BrownImp's 4.64. He thought Holdsworth was wrong to select Conner Robinson, wrong to play Larkin on the wing and criticised Chris Bush and Dan Gray heavily.
