'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Posters Interviews: mellfu

Q1 - How long have you been following the Mighty Imps and what was your first game?

old Div 3 - Imps v Portsmouth - last home game of the 1962 season (I think). We had already been relegated to div 4 and I believe Portsmouth were already promoted to div 2. Perversely city won that game 3-2

Q2 - What is your most memorable moment as an Imp?

The day city won the div 4 championship, with a record number of points and scoring over 100 goals in the season.

Q3 - Since you have been following LCFC, what would your best eleven be?

Too difficult to answer definitively, but the team would have to include Trevor Peake, Gordon Hobson, Glenn Cockerill, Sam Ellis, Dennis Booth and Phil Neal.

Q4 - Who is your all time favourite player?

Glenn Cockerill - went on to play 1st div football with Southampton and Sheffield Utd.

Q5 - What would you say is the best goal you have seen The Imps score?

Strangely enough a fairly recent goal from the Schofield era.

Started deep in our own half by Lee Frecklington who ran on into the opposition box and scored with a diving header after several incisive passes and a great cross from Jamie Forrester.

Q6 - You've found 200k in cash under the bed and want to help out the Imps do you?
1. Buy a seat on the board
2. Donate it to the club as long as it's spent on the playing budget
3. Donate it to the club with no conditions
4. Invest it into the youth setup
5. Other

Donate to the club to buy players.

Q7 - Stadium move, yes or no?

Yes move if it makes commercial sense.

Q8 - What of your possessions would you be prepared to lose if it meant the Imps won promotion back into the league?

My car.

Q9 - Which would you choose as a fan, lose 2 games out of 3 but beat Grimsby 5-0 or a 3 game winning streak not including Grimsby?

Three game winning streak.
