Match Preview: Alfreton Town V The Imps

Match Preview: Alfreton Town V The Imps

Tomorrow afternoon The Imps will take on Alfreton Town at North Street.

In the last two visits to North Street The Imps have won one and drawn one. The victory came in October 2011 when The Imps won 3-1 and the draw was in the FA Cup later on it that month when the game finished 1-1.

Current Form:
Alfreton Town:
Played: 6
Won: 3
Drawn: 2
Lost: 1
For: 14
Against: 8
Points: 11

Lincoln City:
Played: 6
Won: 3
Drawn: 1
Lost: 2
For: 9
Against: 6
Points: 10

Alfreton currently sit 16th in the Blue Square Premier table after 39 games and have 48 points with a -10 goal difference. The Imps find themselves sat just behind Alfreton in the league in 18th position having picked up 46 points from 40 games and have a goal difference of -8.

Tomorrow could go either way, but I'm predicting a a nail biting 1-0 victory for The Imps as we look to pull away from the bottom four and closer to safety.
