Reaction to Gilbert loan

Reaction to Gilbert loan

Here's what our members have said about left-back Peter Gilbert being loaned out to League Two club Dagenham & Redbridge.

'Doesn't seem ideal. Nicolau is adequate back up but he never seems to get a look in (at least when he does, he is gone for another 6 weeks).'

'A bit miffed by this decision... Think Gilbert is a great player... silly to be letting him go out when we might need him!!'

'Good luck to Gilly, Thought he was decent but with 6 games left can see the sense with Nicolau in the squad.'

'Think he's a better player than Diagne but can't argue with 2 goals on Tuesday and simmo clearly values his height if nothing else. We will see but it smacks to me of financial trouble.'

'Gilbert's a fair left-back for this league. I'm not sure he's worth the wailing of discontent that has greeted this news.'

'Clearly the new manager wants players who are here for every training session, something the old manager was very keen on when he first arrived....'

'Back to Gilbert and not too fussed personally, one in a long line of very slow full backs we seem to sign.'

Deranged Ferret

I've been asked by Vital Lincoln City to become part of the front page team, and as I don't think I've ever been on a front page team I thought it polite to accept.
