Average Player Ratings for April

Average Player Ratings for April

A full analysis of this season's player ratings is on its way, but first up here's a look at how the team shaped up in April. This period thus begins with the dour 0-0 against Cambridge on Easter Monday, includes the away losses to Luton and Kidderminster and then those two vital wins against Tamworth and Hyde.

The player of the month - for the first time this season - was Vadaine Oliver (7.01). Oliver's 9.38 on the last day against Hyde edged him ahead of Alan Power who was thwarted in his quest for a third player of the month in five. Oliver had a consistent month scoring six or above in all his outings, with the lowest being the cameo against Luton (6.00). Power meanwhile scored 6.66 to take second place, only let down by a difficult day at Aggborough in which he scored 4.75. Marks of 5.91, 6.00, 8.63 and 8.00 completed another decent month for the Irishman.

Third place went to Nat Brown (5.99), in a rare month where Tom Miller (5.87) could not make the top three largely due to his poor showing at Luton. Brown meanwhile had a consistent month, with his own 4.5 against Luton the only aberration in an otherwise solid showing. A 7.25 against Hyde and a 6.82 versus Cambridge were the highlights.

An honourable mention goes to Jake Jones, who was only rated in two of the five fixtures this month but in the two games he played he really impressed, winning two penalties and earning a mark of 7.20 (7.65 for his cameo against Tamworth, 6.75 against Hyde).
