Imps snap up Nolan

Lincoln City boss Gary Simpson continued his plundering of relegated Stockport County by snapping up midfielder Jon Nolan, who joins former teammates Sean Newton and Danny Rowe at Sincil Bank.

The 21-year-old, who played 31 times in the Blue Square Premier for the Hatters in the 2012-13 season, scoring three goals, started his career as a youth player at Everton before joining Stockport in July 2011.

In total, he played 62 games in the Conference for County and was said to have a bright future in the game and has reportedly turned down a better offer from a fellow Conference club to sign for the Imps.
