Grimes pens Bury deal
Any slim hope that Lincoln City fans had of Ashley Grimes returning to Sincil Bank following his release by Rochdale have been dashed following news that the 26-year-old has signed for Bury.
Grimes, who enjoyed a prolific loan spell with the Imps in the 2010-11 campaign, was on the verge of signing for Cheltenham Town, after reportedly rebuffing offers from Burton and Wycombe, but it seems he had his heart on staying in the north west and has penned a two-year deal with the Shakers, who were relegated from League One last season.
Meanwhile, former Imp Vadaine Oliver has said he is prepared to get stuck in for new club Crewe following his £40,000 move to Gresty Road as he attempts to make his mark with the Railwaymen. He told The Sentinel: 'I don't mind mucking in. At Lincoln I was known for getting back and doing what they call the Didier Drogba role winning headers at set-pieces.
;I'm prepared to get my hands dirty for the team. But first and foremost I'm a striker and hopefully the main thing I can bring to the team is goals by making the most of my aerial ability and strength.'
