'The surface at fault, were Halifax using a different one?'
'For me its simply this, if we don't get rid now we will be in the relegation spots by the end of the season. If we change the manager now we do have time to avert this tide and make a fist of staying in this division again until the next crisis comes along (probably only a short stay of execution)
Those arguments about having a good defence have lately been blown out of the water, 10 conceded in 3, thats not about bad luck, injuries or anything like that!'
'All these injured players it ridiculous, something must be very wrong with the training.'
'The problem with appointing a young up-and-coming manager is that we are staring into the abyss. The likes of Salisbury, Halifax & Alfreton appointed inexperienced managers at a time when they had very little at stake other than status quo.
Any managerial appointment is a gamble, but that would be a huge one with less than half of the season to go.
Perhaps Thommo to stabilise, then look for a new face in the summer?'
'Just got back from the game absolute shambles thought the sending off was harsh but a guy who said he was at the front of the stand said it was a defo red as Power had both feet off the ground when making the tackle.
Tomlinson ran his heart out and Newton got down the left several times in the 2nd half but none of his crosses beat the first man.
I could not believe how much time we gave Halifax on the ball they seemed to be just walking it to our penalty area to build another attack.
Simpson must be the most clueless manager in the history of LCFC.
1. He picks Dixon who on this showing is possibly one of the worst players to have pulled on a City shirt.
2. The aimless punts upfield to Tomlinson on his own against 2/3 large defenders - surprise surprise the guy had no chance!!
3. The one time we play the ball on the deck and pass it around we score a goal but hey we go back to hoofing it up the field.
To see Halifax getting Ole's in the last 5 minutes was truly humiliating and shows how poor we really are even having only 10 men for 75 minutes!!!
'Drove all the way from Cambridge this morning to see that shambles, we honestly looked like a pub team, we didn't press, we gave the ball away, lost every 50/50, it was truly awful and Dixon should never ever play again, if Simmo thinks this lad is a central midfield player he really should be sacked.'
'What a ridiculous game of football. First off, Halifax were rubbish. The number of times they had three players against our one down their left-wing and did nothing was unbelievable in the first-half. Likewise, their long-range shooting was an embarrassment. Adam Smith was brilliant though, looked like a proper winger, and scored a ridiculously good goal. Onto us: we were abysmal. Only Tomlinson and Robinson deserve any credit. Farman was swearing at fans. Dixon put in the worst performance I've seen from a Lincoln player, and the rest were either unfit, lazy or just technically terrible. Simpson has proved that he has no idea how to build a squad, no idea how to get the best out of players who have previously performed well for other people, no idea how to react tactically to changes in the game - what was the plan after the red-card? Same as before, but with less in midfield, it seems. Mental! They could easily have scored double figures, and our goal only came about from a mess-up from their goalkeeper. At times I was laughing at how bad we were, but others I was thoroughly dejected. Now I'm numb, really. I don't see how things are going to improve.'
'Just back from Halifax! That was a waste of 35 quid to watch that shower of rubbish! About sick to the stomach of Simmo's dreadful tactics and if a change isn't made soon then I'm afraid it's Skrill North in August! Sort it out Dorrian/ Simmo!!'
