'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Views After Luton Draw

'What a point! I'm so proud of every single one of those players. The desire and effort they put in was monumental! If we'd have lost that game it would have been a travesty. The defence were superb. I can only remember one save Farman had to make and that was all due to the fantastic work of the defenders of the team in front of him. Sam-Yorke looks a great loan signing, takes the ball down and holds up play so well. The only thing we lacked in was support for him and decision making in the final third, but I don't want to talk about the negatives much at all. Brilliant battling performance! Let's build on this.'

'Please with that! Very pleased!!! Sam-Yorke looks a right handful!!!!! Finally a striker not afraid to shoot!!! Bring on Alfreton!!!'

'Got to say that was a great performance from the whole team, if we can show the same level of commitment for the rest of the season we will have no problems, almost took me back to Keith's time, felt the supporters really got behind the lads today and the atmosphere was the best for a long time.

Very much a point gained, a neutral would not have known which side was top of the league.'

'Second game running we get a point which I wouldn't have thought possible. We did battle hard and it was thoroughly deserved, Luton passed the ball around and esp in the first 45 looked half decent. Second half apart from the nervy last 5 mins, we looked solid and had quite a lot of the ball. Only down side for me today was Nolan, he had a poor game. Sam Yorke caused the Luton defence all manner of problems and at long last we look to have a guy that can hold the ball up and bring others into play, just hope he can continue that because effort wise you cannot fault his MOM performance. More of the same please on Tuesday evening and I will start to feel our chances of survival will take an upturn.'

'That was brilliant. On their day our defence is as good as anyone's, and Sam-Yorke was the player we've needed since Oliver left. Another team had to resort to kicking Robinson out of the game because he had the beating of them, and the other new lad looked decent on the ball but not completely fit. Our midfield battled hard, and Jordan was terrific, but Mo and Nolan struggled technically, for me. If we get Rowe into the hole and up close to Sam-Yorke when he holds it up, we'll be a very dangerous side. Positive signs!'

'Good performance today, so much so that I was disappointed with a point! Sam-Yorke had a good debut and Austin looks decent too. I think Sam-Yorke and Tomlinson could be good together when the latter returns. Foster and Brown were excellent when called upon and Robinson was my MOTM. The only downside, apart from failing to score, was Fofana, who once again flattered to deceive. But that's a minor criticism on a good day for the team.'

'Agree with most of what has already been said. It was refreshing to see a hardworking battling performance, a draw possibly fair but I thought we were edging second half. Tuesday we need to build on this and try and get the three points. I would like Simmo to still consider a creative attack minded midfielder as at times we lacked that final ball. All in all very pleasing and with both sets of fans felt like a proper game.'
