Fairhurst Joins Macclesfield Town

It has been announced today that Lincoln City Striker Waide Fairhurst has joined Skrill Premier Division rivals Macclesfield Town on a one-month loan deal.

Reaction to the loan deal:

'I'm at a headloss to this. For starters it says something when a team higher in the league is loaning a player off us. Secondly, he has never been given a proper chance to show his worth. An the first game he started he scored 2 against Forest Green, then was dropped immediately. We went through a huge run where we hardly had a shot on target let alone a goal or 2. Yet Simmo still continued with the same front line-up and didn't even give Fairhurst a game. I think its right to send him out on loan, he isn't getting a chance here so save money. But it frustrates me about his whole time here. He could be really good, he did score 15 last year in this same league.'

'Nothing surprises me anymore rational decision making is an alien concept to Gary Simpson.'

'The thing that irks me most about the whole Fairhurst thing is him not fitting a system.

Good managers IMO find systems to get their better players in...'

'Makes sense as he is not getting near the first team (rightly or wrongly). Was impressed when I first saw him but very poor last time he started so hard to judge.'

'I would have been looking to move Dixon, Wright and Rowe on before Fairhurst. Still, my guess is he's the shortest!'

'The problem was 'i don't know where to play him'. Yeah Simmo your not going to know where to play him if you don't actually play him to see where he should play.'

'At least GS knows where to play him now - in Macclesfield's team.

Although I do wonder how much time he will actually play for Macc. They seem to have no problem scoring goals, at least, not against us.'
