'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Preview: Gateshead FC V Lincoln City

The Imps make the long trip up the A1 on saturday, as they look to cement their place in the top half of the league for the first time this year, as they face play off chasing Gateshead at the Gateshead International Stadium in the Skrill Premier League.

After making a raft of changes in the victory against Braintree on Tuesday night, rested duo Alan Power and Nat Brown are likely to come into the starting eleven at the expense of Danny Rowe and goal scoring Luke Foster respectively.

As last time out was Arnaud Mendys first game this season, it is likely that he will lose his place in the eleven with the more athletic Charlee Adams preferred in the City engine room. Ben Tomlinson still continues to walk a tightrope being just one yellow card away from another suspension. Conner Robinson will take a place on the bench if deemed fit.

These two teams have already met once this season with Gateshead coming out on top at Sincil Bank by the odd goal. Last season this fixture ended in a draw after a late Conner Robinson strike earned City a share of the spoils in a 1-1 stalemate.

Going into this game the Imps are bang in form and will be looking to collect another unlikely away win on Saturday. Gateshead have lost just once in their last six games at home, but find themselves as draw specialists lately, sharing the points in 7 of their last 12 games in the league.
