Preview: Lincoln City V Mansfield Town

Lincoln City go into tonight's friendly with League Two Mansfield Town hoping to make it three wins out of three against Football League opposition at Sincil Bank. The Imps will also be looking to make it their fifth straight win on the spin.

Gary Simpson has injury doubts to key players with Alan Power, Jon Nolan, Conner Robinson and Tom Miller all struggling with injuries. This may mean that Alex Simmons and Kegan Everington could feature from the start against The Stags.

Trialist Hamza Bencherif is likely to feature again, after playing the last two games for The Imps, although it remains to be seen if he will put pen-to-paper on a contract at Sincil Bank. Fellow trialist Luke Chambers will also be looking to impress again, with no decision forthcoming so far for the young goalkeepers future.

Mansfield Town are set to begin their second season back in the Football League, after winning the Conference two seasons ago. They have enjoyed a relatively positive pre-season so far beating Leeds United and Notts County, and only suffering the one defeat against Premier League Aston Villa.

Mansfield will feature a former Imp in their ranks with long serving Lee Beevers set to feature for The Stags. Mansfield also have former Imp Sam Clucas, but he will not feature because he is currently injured.

How The Imps must wish they had keep a hold of such a talented youngster four years ago, with Clucas comfortable in League 2 at the tender age of 23. Last seasons loan keeper Nick Townsend may also be on trial with The stags, but this hasn't been confirmed.
