City to move for teenager Judd?

Lincoln City could be about to bolster their defensive ranks with a move for highly-rated Leyton Orient teenager Myles Judd.

Reports have emerged that manager Danny Cowley has tabled a bid for the 18-year-old right-back, who was honoured with the League Two Apprentice of the Year award last season, following in the footsteps of the likes of Matt Phillips and Ryan Bennett.

With only two recognised full-backs at Sincil Bank - Sam Habergham, who is recovering from a hernia operation, and Sean Long - Cowley is keen to strengthen in those areas and has targeted the promising Judd, who played 21 games for relegated Orient last season, before a back injury curtailed his campaign in late March.

The youngster only penned a two-year professional deal in December and has emerged as a target for several Football League clubs, including Lincoln.

Meanwhile, trialists James Rowe and Brandon Ormond-Ottewille did their chances of earning contracts no harm when impressing in City's 4-0 friendly win at Lincoln United on Saturday.

Former Cheltenham midfielder Rowe scored the third goal, after Matt Green and Alex Woodyard strikes, while left-back Ormond-Ottewille, released by Swindon this summer, also claimed an assist.
