India lose to Australia

Australia won the first test in India by 333 runs. Aussie spinners O'Keefe and Nathan Lyon took all ten wickets in India's second innings, 17 between them in the match (O'Keefe 12, Lyon 5).
Compare and contrast with England's effort.

Quite an astonishing win and gives the England management some food for thought.

Australia lead by 48 with 4 wickets left after day 2 in Bangalore. Lyon had taken 8/50 in India's innings. What is going on.

Normal service resumed with a massive Australian collapse in which their last 6 wickets fell for 11 runs. 1-1 now in the 4 match series

And allegations of malpractice made by the Indians regarding Aussies looking to dressing room for advice on reviews. This series will be worth following.

Rare occurence in modern test cricket as the third test in Ranchi drawn with only two innings and half of Australia's second completed in the five days. Some big scores in this game, Smith's 8 hour plus 178 not out and Maxwell 104 in Australia's first knock and Pujara's 11 hour 202 and Saha's 117 for India.
Aussies seem to be on a upward curve, England will do well to hang on to the ashes next winter.

Australia and India both a bit inconsistent but the sniping between Smith and Kholi makes in very interesting

Final test at picturesque Dharamshala looks evenly poised with India 52 behind Aussies with 4 wickets left after day 2. Indian Captain Kohli misses this one. Never really understood why 111 is called 'Nelson' but superstitious types will drool over Captains Smith's 111 for Australia in 222 minutes. Without that the Aussies would be struggling. Could could come down to how the pitch lasts for the final innings, as the spinners are taking wickets.

It will take a real effort from India to lose. End of day 3 they need 86 more with all 10 wickets standing. Having eked out a 32 run first innings advantage they ran through Australia's second innings for 137. Looks like Australia will suffer the same series fate as us, but arguably they have made more of a fight of it.

I hope that reinvigorates interest in test matches in India
