Could be a good chance to nail another 3 away points, this. But I think FGR will want to bounce back and their dander will be up playing us.

BTTS is probably a good shout in this one.

Weather forecast tonight is still double raindrops throughout the evening. No let up, but also gale force winds now predicted, 50 mph with gusts up to 70mph possible. Need to keep the ball on the ground and have the wind behind us in the 2nd half. Conditions do sound extreme, wouldn't be at all surprised if this one gets abandoned.

I forecast a Lincoln win 3-1 following a game where FGR test the boundaries of gamesmanship while their staff and fans reel off cliches about Lincoln's physicality and dependence on set pieces despite all 3 goals coming from open play that Brazil would be proud of and their goal being from a free kick that their players bundle in.

Same for both sides but it sounds like conditions could be a bit of a leveller tonight... I don't really buy that idea but probably favours a possession based team - which we aren't.

I'm half thinking of just going in the home end and leaving my scarf in the car. On the plus side, at least I can see the game in the dry. on the minus side I can't cheer us on. I had to go in the home end last Saturday as well, so i'm getting quite used to it. What's the point of getting soaked through.

For some strange reason, some FGR supporters on their forum seem to be pitching themselves in competition with Lincoln. One refers to this being 'a six-pointer', while another one states, 'Lincoln won on Saturday, so this is a must-win game'. Do they really see us as being in the same desperately leaky boat to them?

FGR; P6 W1 D1 L4 F9 A18 Pts4 Pos22nd
LC: P6 W2 D3 L1 F9 A6 Pts9 Pos11th

Very similar starts, there.

after playing half of a fast paced game with ten men on saturday, a postponement might be a decent result for us.

if it goes ahead, 50mph wind and torrential rain is not great for cooper's brazilian tippy tappy around the back four... and might suit us getting it in high and swirling and bouncing and skidding around the bulldozer. doubt it will affect the effectiveness of bos and woodyard.

uti.

Think this will be tough tonight. We will miss Green but it does give opportunities to Palmer to come straight in?

and, unless it is postponed [or you are matt green] don't miss the kick off... will we be looking for the early goal?
in four of their six league games they have conceded first within ten minutes. and conceded second within 22 minutes. they are going to be very very nervy starters.

Postponement would mean Green misses Mansfield on Saturday instead. I guess the same would be the case if the match tonight gets abandoned during it. Null and void.
