If you could have another ex-player/manager that could come in as co-commentator on I-player, to replace Ashton, for instance. (Instead of doing a deal to use the Radio Lincs duo), who would you choose. And don't say Carlisle legend Dean Walling

Chris Sutton seems to have made a job at the highest level so maybe him (joke.)

John Schofield?

Still don;t know what's wrong with Thommo. Honest, Old school, calls it like it is. Better than the Glen Hoddles and Andy Townsends that we are subjected to at the very highest level. At least he knows how to say goal (singular) and doesn;t keep saying goals (whether it should be singular or not.)

Those 2 give out all the modern football cliches of getting it down and playing, patience, creativity until the last 10 minutes and then start saying that the losing side at the time need to be more direct, get the big man and put their boot in a bit. It's all about cultured football until needed at which point they are demanding 1970s crunching tackles and long balls to the big man.

I also get sick of hearing that they should give it minutes and then revert to plan B. I'm sure all managers would then know at minutes in to counter the plan B. Get the extra 6ft 5in CB on at 60 minutes because all managers will be reverting to the only plan B there is.

Yeah Thommo is a decent summariser. I'm just saying if IPlayer don't go down the Radio Lincs route and want to keep it in-house. As Thommo is already taken, who could they draft in as the expert. Perhaps someone who lives in the area, although not essential.

I am available and not am quite neutral in my assessments of the game. I am always saying something wasn't a foul while the rest of the crowd are demanding a red card for every tackle.........

........however they would either need a very good quality bleeper capable of being used more than any has been used before or they would have to surround me with a thousand children. lol.

Hone is contracted to Auntie, so little chance of him joining the iFollow crew and taking a backward step. That said he is a decent summariser and would have him like a shot over the current bunch of fan boys on iFollow, but I suspect better things await him.

Hey we could take it in turns.

We could alternate who does the commentary /summarising and who controls the bleep machine. Should be fun.

The new sky/EFL deal may make a difference from 2019 for midweek matches.

Only if the Club choose to sign up to the streaming in the UK, which I personally think they shouldn't.

Not great for exiles, but we potentially stand to lose locals to a streaming service.

As it is, it would solve the "we need extra capacity to cope" problem, until we move to the new stadium

For those that can see the ifollow stream, there is a third commentary option. Tapping on the gear icon at the bottom of the player for settings, brings up a box for video and audio.

You can get the home or away commentary, or just listen to the crowd noise. Not sure who does that, but does seem to know the Lincoln players ect; Having said that I usually listen to the crowd noise, just like being there.

I do miss Hortin and Thommo though!

Agreed, no local streaming.

But high quality radio service is what is required.

Are the highlights etc on iFollow not worth it then? How much do you get? I'm presuming you get a lot more than what is pushed onto youtube.
