There were some dreadful crowds in Div 2 tonight ! Should extend our 'lead' on Saturday. UTI.

First test will be Barnet next Tuesday. Midweek during school time will probably hit the JIC area.

There will be a natural dip but would still expect 7k. If we achieve that figure, midweek early in the season for a league match against worthy but unglamorous opposition then we are doing something right.

I see the Scunts unbeaten at the time dragged in 4k in the division above against a team of Blackburn's ilk last night - kind of puts our position in a good light.

Wife is going to be mad. Taking the boys to Mansfield and Notts County and now you tell me we have a midweeker against Barnet. lol

We'll be there in the JIC. I think we mightbe surprised this season with the midweekers. With it being harder to get tickets people will take any ticket that comes along.

I daresay we would have had some larger attendances for other matches weekend or weeknight but there is the idea around that tickets are much harder to get now so some people might not even think about trying.

Club needs to be all over social media constantly making sure people know there are tickets available.

Excellent for the club and frankly something I never expected to see, ever.

The misanthropic part of me misses the sparse attendances, though.

Lol. I have had a few personal moans about it taking too long for a pint. Even now going to the Eagle instead of the Centre spot I buy 3 pints at the same time after a 20 minute wait.

Using queues for more beer is always a strong strategy.

The reason for the queue is people buying 3 pints at a time

If the Eagle would start serving soft drinks at the end of the beer garden then I wouldn;t have to queue for ages in the small bars. lol.

However after the Luton game I insisted the boys got a bottle of Coke from the Co-op so I didn't have to queue in the bar again. A sound tactic I might adopt prematch from now on. he, he.

As my daughter's 12 now and normally stops up til around 10pm we're going to Barnet match, we should make all the home games this season in the JIC bit.
