Playing well down at Barnet, their fans want him to stay.
DC knows the lad and his opinion will not have altered over a short period of time.
Remember Rowe is only a loanee and we need another effective wide player.(2 lads operating under par)
Akinola could also play the mobile front runner position that Greeny plays.(versatile)
This could be a permanent signing and Barnet need dough or a big offload of players as they hurtle toward oblivion.(National league)...........we were there once!!!!
Let`s have a sniff around for Akinde`s availability whilst we are down there.
(Rochdale sniffing currently..source barnet fans forum.....and they are potless!(like we used to be)

Any Barnet player is currently staring down the barrel of a gun given their league position and their agents will be banging down doors to get their lads away as the fire sale in players starts.

Comments welcome
(got my tickets for the Hive+curry after)........yipee!

Maybe so.

However, on the flip Barnet will not be keen on letting him go, if he is playing well as it would be akin to start powering down the life support system. If they did let him go, or come to that any other player performing well for them, for the same reasons you mention, the chances of them attracting quality replacements are not going to be easy.

That ship in my view has sailed on this one, at least until the summer.

I think the season long injury to the lad they signed from Maidenhead may have put a different dynamic on his role at Barnet. We will see.

I don't think Barnet will be willing to sell now. He's playing, has scored a few, and that's exactly what they need right now. We should be looking at other targets if Barnet won't listen to an approach.

This ship has sailed i think. But we’ll see. Barnet probably value him higher than the last time we tried.

The lad who scored for them here looked decent, wouldn't mind him.

Just had a quick look at Barnet's line up for the last 8 games and Akinola has started just 1 out of those 8, and has often come off the bench after 80 mins which would indicate the manager doesn't really need him that much.

If we offer money and the chance to redirect a wage to where it is needed most I would imagine, given the above, they might snap our hands off. However, given their injuries up top they might demand more money this time around.

I’m not always sure starts and sub appearances are an indication of a club being willing to let someone leave- would we be willing to let Ollie Palmer or Ginnelly (if he were actually ours!) leave to a League 2 team? Neither of those have started recently but are both very much a part of things going forward and our squad depth.

Different situations though. If we were in a relegation scrap it would be highly likely we would want/need several new players but that comes with budget restrictions. Therefore if someone was willing to take a rotation player off our hands for money I think we would jump at the chance because that could be money to bring in 2 first team players elsewhere (wages removed + fee for the player).

Not sure if he is injured. Not in the squad today against Crawley and last came off the bench in the 86th minute on New Years Day.

Will he be joining the Imps after next Saturday.

I Will keep looking on the Jubilee Line and all routes to Kings Cross for the fast train to Lincoln.

I think the forward line looks decent. The only way to improve it is to get a lethal finisher from the premiership

Not sure - I wonder if signing Williams has covered DC's wish for a player who can fulfil the wide man/striker role?
