3/10.

First, the good. I thought he played some very good advantages today. Probably the best we've had in that respect for a long time and he did that for both sides. He also added a decent amount of injury time for Notts timewasting in the final 15 minutes although it took him a while to book their 'keeper.

The bad - well, where to start. That Rhead 'pen' looked a pretty standard one to me. Their defender was caught wrong side and Rhead had no reason to go down.

I didn't quite see what happened to their player who got booked in the centre circle. It looked like he may have raised his hands, so that could easily have been a red.

Clear trip in the build up to their first on Habergham on the byline, a clear non-foul by Green for our 'goal' considering Green was actually in front of their player!

He set his stall out early doors to blow up for everything and that impacted the game. I understand that both sides had some seasoned pros who manage games well (although not in the two minutes after they scored!) but even he must be embarrassed by some of the stuff he was falling for?! Stead hardly got fouled all game, but 'won' an awful lot just by exaggerating everything and running into people.

3/10 - I'm probably being generous because he tried to let a full blooded, physical, derby game flow but thats as far as it goes. The rest is definitely below par. We would have won that game with a ref who viewed incidents more accurately. Made several wrong decisions to either give fouls when their players were simply caught in possession or didn't give them when ours were fouled. My initial rection to the foul on Freck when he was through was that it was a red card as their player clearly hailed him down using his hands/arms, but at least he gave a yellow. The Palmer goal was clearly not a foul - Green absolutely beat the defender with his pace and strength and his attempted defensive clearance was a half-hearted flimsy piece of defending.

DC hinted the ref was in awe of big name ex premier league player Nolan.

Can't sat anymore than what has already been said 1/10 for turning up.

Apart from not awarding a blatant penalty, sending off their player, disallowing the goal for the foul on Habergham and ruling out a perfectly good winner he was on the money for all the big decisions. 1 out of 10 for turning up to enable the game to go ahead.

I was going to give him 0.5 yesterday but after reading previous comments and having calmed down a bit (only a bit) he gets 1.5 from me. Played a couple of good advantages but thats it.

A disgrace to his profession.

Spot on and once Nolan reminded him of that after their little chat the dye was cast...

Now I have slept on it and seen some of the action on iFollow I am still of the opinion that he was cr@p and made some very bizarre decisions. The guy who raised a hand (and I thought he hit our player) should have received a straight red card. Their first goal included a blatant two-handed push on Habergham and the disallowed goal decision simply beggars belief. Sending Danny to the stand moments after having a similar conversation with Nolan but letting him stay in the dugout smacks of total inconsistency and unfairness to me.

Like Hulloutpost, I will give him ONE solitary point for turning up and allowing the game to take place.

There's one-sided and there's Ross Joyce. I never thought Seb Stockbridge could be beaten for ineptitude, but he has been.

A pitiful, pi55-poor 1/10

Yeah I was quite surprised when they said the refs in the championship were full time, thought only the prem ones were?
Think they've promoted too many refs from non league this season, Joyce is one of them.

From the radio he sounded very poor. Both Thommo and Hortin commented several times that they just didn’t understand his decisions.

Just watched the full game including a few replays of key moments.

As said already he let the game flow and added on extra time due to County time wasting.

Apart from that he was very poor. After Kevin Nolan gave him a talking too he gave foul after foul against us. Missed key infringements and made some baffling decisions.

We should have had a penalty. But then if we had been awake from the start, cleared our lines properly and if Green took his chances we’d have easily won’t that game by 2 goals. We didn’t.

3/10

Danny reckoned after Nolan and the ref had the little chat they got 6 free kicks in a row leading up to the goal.

Still can't believe how poor this ref was. The best refs go unnoticed. This fella loved the limelight. Was smirking and giggling to himself as he went off at half time. Hope we never see him again.

Just because it's a tough job, it doesn't mean he wasn't crap.
