I posted this on another thread, but I thought it would be worth highlighting.

When he was unveiled on 13 May 2016, Danny (and Nicky, not to be forgotten) took over a club that had just finished in the bottom half of the National League for the fifth successive year and had won 5 of its last 25 games. Average gate was 2,594. Turnover was £1.38m, and the club had recently agreed a 'damaging' deal with the Co-op Bank to repay the £380,000 debt.

In the space of just 634 days, he has won the National League title, taken City back to the Football League, become the first manager to take City to an FA Cup quarter-final, the first manager to take City to an FA Trophy semi-final, and the first manager to take City to Wembley. They are challenging for automatic promotion to League One at the first attempt, a £1m training ground is being built and a new stadium is in the offing. The average gate is 8,631, making City the best-supported club in League Two, the 9th best-supported club in the lower two divisions, and the 52nd best-supported club in England. Turnover is £4.62m, the club has made a £1.3m profit and all historic debt has been cleared.

All in the space of 100 games.

If that isn't extraordinary, nothing is.

Wow. Great seeing it all distilled down like that. Thanks again for the great stats.

60% win rate is very rare.

I'll second truly extraordinary. What is even more remarkable is that this has been achieved by sheer hard graft basically using the tools at their disposal (I'm not calling city players tools BTW) gradually being improved along with infrastructure in small increments as each success has been re-invested. That rather than simply having the good fortune of selling a windfall player for say 3 million pounds.

That’s an excelllent point and perhaps something that gets missed after our relative lottery win of the FA Cup run - we have no sugar daddy unlike a whole host of teams in the Conference, which makes last seasons achievement, following five years of mediocrity (to put it politely), all the more remarkable.

I still remember leaving after the Brighton game alongside Notty and discussing our future in the FA cup I uttered words I never thought I would say in all my time as an Imps fan
"We can beat anyone..." and get this... Notty DID NOT DISAGREE!!!

Edit: Just to say of course, he thought we'd be well gubbed by Burnley...

Amazing to see it written down like that.

And it goes to show that the one key appointment a club can make is the manager (in our case 2 appointments).

More firsts that could be imminent are the first City manager to win a national cup competition and the first to achieve back-to-back promotions.

The following to Wembley is sure to be the highest exodus of City fans to a game in the club's history and could also be the largest number of Lincoln fans ever at any game - including our record home attendance.

Some of you may know that I am a writer. Had I written any of this as a screenplay or novel, no one would have considered it remotely believable.

It is mind boggling, inexplicable and spell binding rolled into one! Superlatives just can’t do it justice

Freedom of the City, or have they already got it?! Absolutely unbelievable what has happened at Sincil Bank in less than 2 years, you couldn't make it up!

I was talking to a mate the other day about when it went to penalties and thinking we would lose, and how we felt when we went to the Huddersfield ground to watch us lose on penalties to Emley.

Standing behind the goal in the cold (and snow?) and watching dreams slip away - then having a speeding camera flash me on the M62 on the way home...
