"Cowley says he understands objections of fans, but hopes they’ll wish to change their minds and attend the final against Yeovil or Shrewsbury."

“A lot of the ones who are boycotting are some of our biggest supporters home and away."

“In the time between now and the final, we want to sit down with those fans and have a conversation."

“We completely respect their opinions and support their reason for boycotting. What we need to do is find an alignment so that we’re all coming from the same perspective."

“We want them to be a part of it and enjoy a great day out. It has been one big club effort to get there and we are all Imps at the end of the day.”

I think if Danny / Clive Nates is prepared to raise the issue of B teams in the league in an interview / press conference to the national media and how our club is never going to vote for them then I am persuaded too.
I don't think I can ask for more than that...

Agree 100%. I think they're already on record as saying they would vote against the inclusion of U23 teams if the opportunity arose again.

I assume the same could be said about B-teams - if not even more so.

Great to see DC engaging with the fans on this. I feel many managers wouldn't give two hoots. The guy is a diamond.

Who wants to say to their Grandchildren "I was there the SECOND time Lincoln went to Wembley??" . Fair play and respect to the boycotters but time to let your heart rule your head!!

He certainly is, never in doubt.

He's said it on local press conferences and in local press but Wembley will be a day when Sky and everyone else will shine their light on us again, a chance to nail our principles to the mast for everyone to see..

I really hope a solution can be found to allow the boycotters to attend with dignity and without any snide comments from others should they choose to.
If DC has personally asked them to attend as it is in the best interests of the club and the board publicly state that when they get their first opportunity to vote it will be against the inclusion of youth teams I believe that should be enough for any boycotter to attend conscience free of any hypocrisy charge. It is worth remembering LCFC did not have a vote on the format of this competition but the boycotters are principled people and for them to save face it is important that what is said does need to be public and genuine.

Top, top stuff from Danny and the Club.
I for one, hope the 617 boys and everyone else who has 'voted with their feet' up till now in this competition, unites and comes together to roar The Imps on to victory at Wembley.
We need that drum!

You mean Lincoln fans or in gerneral? If the former, probably only 100s at most. Only about half a dozen on here, I think.

Spot on Hulloutpost!

Pleased Greeneedle has been persuaded to give up the boycott for the final. I hope Nottyimp and a few of the others choose to come along and not miss out on a unique opportunity to see the mighty Imps at Wembley for the first time ever! There will only be one first time.

Attend the final with your heads held high and support the mighty imps! I am sure all genuine fans will welcome the boycotters back with open arms.

Yes Lincoln fans. So in the grand scheme of Wembley their absence, while regrettable will also go largely unnoticed.

25,000 Lincoln fans chanting "You can stick your B teams up your arse" live on Sky would be good as well :)

Bit like when Andrew Neill was asked on air how much the BBC paid him and he said "it's between 1 and 1,000,000"

1,000 max I would guess.

To be quite honest with you, I was pressured by my boys (via the wife) to dig out a stream for them to watch the Chelsea game, which I eventually did and of course I can't sit in another room hearing them cheering Lincoln on.

And they seem to have used the same tactic on Wednesday (she drives them to school and back) where they "understand" when talking to me, yet voice their "I wishes" to the wife who then starts making me feel guilty. they are quite clever boys. lol. Future politicians in the making.

So last night I was trying to find out it was too expensive only to find that the train tickets are way cheaper than they should be<-------;) and that the Natural History museum is free and my cost argument started breaking down as well. lol

B teams. Why be so diplomatic. "you can stick your Premier League up your arse" sung by 30,000 fans. 25,000 of which have "big club" avatars on facebook he, he. But like sheep they'll sing along. As will our opposition fans equally on that chant :)
