Allsop
eardley wilson,waterfall,habergham

bostwick woodyard
rowe pett

palmer green.

lets have a look at Allsop
keep the centre back pairing to build partnership understanding

keep rowe on to link the right side with eardley....build interplay.
have a look at pett, as Harry has suffered of late and he could do with a breather.

green must play
palmer can give us 45 mins plus fresh and hungry

the bench looks strong,long/wharton/farman=defensive
whitehouse/frecklington/anderson/williams=midfield or stewart?

rhead= forward

expect to use Rhead, anderson or whitehouse over the 90 mins.

My only thought is that Anderson needs a rest. He looked dead on his feet against Newport and although the players get well looked after I would hate to see him burn himself out.

Allsop

Long Wilson Bostwick Habergham

Rowe Frecklington Woodyard Williams

Rhead Green

Rest for Anderson & Eardley.
Waterfall unlucky, but Wilson better.
Williams in as stronger than Pett.
Would always start with Rhead and Green if possible.
What a strong squad though. Great bench at the minute.

Bench is much improved.
i would like another look at Williams........,could play for me.
Eardley top assist man and did it the other night for Waterfall but you are right Long needs game time.
Feel Rhead and ollie will share the 90 minutes

got Cheltenham at home on the Tuesday

expect a draw at Cambridge.

i think a few need a rest... eardley, rhead, green, bostwick even. anderson also looking a bit jaded in the last couple of games imo. rowe is only just coming up to fitness and has played a bunch of games in a short timeframe.
freck already carrying an injury.

tricky one as they are all central to the team.
overplay them and they might end up missing a bunch of games. green would be a huge loss if he got injured... shame we didn't push harder for that fourth striker.

maybe rest two or three tomorrow, and another two or three against cheltenham. but that risk dropping even more league points.

i am sure cowley will revel in the challenge.

Assuming that they are not injured the definite starters will be Allsopp, Bostwick, Habergham, Woodyard, Green and Rhead. I think there are five places up for grabs dependant on fatigue and injuries e.g. is Frecklington uninjured in which case he will also definitely start.

Tough one to call so will leave it to DC however, will Scott Wharton get a game to bring left side balance. Likewise I expect Tom Pett to start at the expense of Harry Anderson, fully expect Danny Rowe to play his part. Ollie Palmer for Matt Rhead (maybe) tough ask Tues & Fri games for everyone.

I’m a fan of Palmer, but he always looks knackered to me even when he’s come off the bench at 60 minutes!

I’d be tempted to play Long and Eardley as full backs. Long never put a foot wrong and Eardley can do a job either side. If this were the case I’d make sure to play a left footer ahead of Eardley to make sure we’ve got a bit of balance.

This is just my opinion, but Habergham hasn’t made the step up to League 2. I thought he was one of our best players last year, but I’ve just not seen anything convincing this season. Maybe it was his injury, maybe it was his lack of understanding/ relationship with an ever changing left winger, but for me his position is not guaranteed!

That being said- in The Cowleys we trust!

Final thought, would expect to see Long in for Eardley. Eardley is quality but it’s all about looking at individual pathways and resting where it’s needed.

I could of course be totally wide of the mark.

I think we need 2 up front, 1 just doesn't work as we fail in the danger area.

Allsop
Eardley, Waterfall, Wilson, Habergham
Pett, Woodyard, Bostwick, Williams
Green, Rheady

Incidentally, just had a look on the OS and Tom Pett is listed as a Forward. Also we've got 5 keepers.
