As we will be shortly making our first ever trip to Wembley I was wondering can you recall the first Lincoln match you watched and if it was home or away.

Think this has been done some while ago but we have quite a few new members now!

My first ever match was 21st August 1976 1-1 at home to Shrewsbury Town ironically as we could be playing them at Wembley.

Lincoln Vs Barnet 1987. I say "watched" I was in the Railway Terrace and couldn't see a lot.....but as I recounted the troubles on the pitch to my parents, I wasn't allowed to go again for a year...haha

Lincoln v wealdstone 6th April 1988. Always have a memory we won 4-0. But it was actually 3-0. Horrible muddy pitch and a good fight. Loved it.
This year's wembley game will be my 30th anniversary.

Boxing Day 1964, City hammered Notts County 1-0. I went with my dad and my brother and I don’t remember too much about the game as I was 6 but I do remember thinking that I had never seen so many people in one place and all the noise was amazing. I sat on the wall on the Sincil Drain terrace because I couldn’t see over it.

I think it was 2003 against Bristol rovers i was only 8 living in Doncaster going to see my grandma at washingborough and my uncle used to pick me up and take me to the game before that I wasn’t interested In football having gone to Crewe matches (that’s where I was born unfortunately) but as soon as I went to a lincoln match I fell in love with football! And loved every Saturday home game going to see my grandma but mostly getting to see the mighty imps 15 years down the line I don’t regret anything!

February 1969 (age 14) - lincoln v Rochdale. Sneaked in at half - time when they opened the gates. Seemed to recall it was a 0 -0 draw but seeing the players close up (wasn't a big crowd) and experiencing the smell, the noise, the sounds (the thump as the ball is kicked, and tackles, etc - if that makes sense) drew me back. I paid to watch the next game - think it was the derby against Scunthorpe but don't remember much about the game.

It was the day before my dad's 40th birthday, Wednesday 6th March 1963 and I was eight years old. It was the much-postponed FA Cup Third Round game Vs Coventry City. We lost 1-5 and a certain Terry Bly was on the score sheet for Coventry.

I don't remember who scored for us but I do remember how very, very cold it was!

April 1986 aged 9. 0-0 at home against Wigan sat in the old St Andrews stand. Loved it so much returned the Bristol Rovers game a week later (2-2 or 3-3 I think it was). A young lad called Devon White scored if my memory serves me right.

Not half as cold as it had been that year. Remember Alf Jones our right back struggling to save the ball going out for a corner, slipping over and gifting Coventry a goal. Strange what useless stuff sticks in the noddle.
