December 1st 1973 v Crewe. Won 4-2, I was 7 and just getting into football. In fact I was football mad then. My granddad took me and we sat in the St Andrews Stand. We went again, with my dad as well a few weeks later v Torquay January 1st, won 3-0. Didn't go again that season. Following the 1974 World cup in West Germany, when I must have watched every game(in black and white) I was completely hooked. From then on, my 'weekend news' at junior school on a Monday morning was basically a write up of Lincoln City's game at the weekend with a couple of drawings in crayon. Usually John Ward or Percy Freeman scoring.

Lincoln 4 Blackburn 1, League Cup second round replay, 15 September 1971.

Phil Hubbard got a hat-trick, and I have been drawn illogically back ever since.

I still have the programme.

Anyone else see an Imp get a hat-trick in their first ever game?

Lincoln v wealdstone 6th April 1988. Always have a memory we won 4-0. But it was actually 3-0. Horrible muddy pitch and a good fight. Loved it.
This year's wembley game will be my 30th anniversary.

That Wealdstone game was interesting for a number of reasons, but mainly because the focus of the football world was on it. The Football League was celebrating its 100th anniversary and had arranged a special game of some kind at Wembley. Therefore the press box was full of leading football journalists - the scan below is by Brian Glanville of The Sunday Times.

August 1958 Lincoln City 3 Sunderland 1

Sunderlands first game outside Division 1

Snap!! That was my first game too.

You never know, if you were on the wall in the Sincil Bank terrace, we could have been standing next to each other!

It was the day before my dad's 40th birthday, Wednesday 6th March 1963 and I was eight years old. It was the much-postponed FA Cup Third Round game Vs Coventry City. We lost 1-5 and a certain Terry Bly was on the score sheet for Coventry.

I don't remember who scored for us but I do remember how very, very cold it was!

City v Burnley FAC 3rd round replay Jan 1977. Lost 1 - 0 in front of 12,000+. All I can remember was being on the wall in the old St. Andrews paddock and liking Burnleys shirts. Claret with a blue V on the front.

1976-ish, a 3-0 home win, can't remember who against - maybe tonight's opponents Cambridge, (although that might have been the following year, which was a televised match)... Ha ha

The 81/2 season was the first one I really remember. I was 9 years old and remember Southend away 0-0 I think my dad brought me fish and chips on our way home in the back of his old Vauxhall viva. Also remember Newport County at home that season and my dad giving Tommy Tynan a hard time because he had played for us previously (things don't change). 2-2 that one I think we were 2 up at half time...Happy days.

Amazingly, I can better even that... 6-2 versus Carlisle United in the last game of the 90/91 season... Tony Lormor got 4!

Last game of the Conference Season (first time around). Most of you probably know the opponents and score!

To be honest I cannot remember what game it was. But used to go with a couple of school mates called Rich & Bob Murrfet plus Doug Burt. They liked to go as I often used to end up fighting with my brother at games..
