5 Lee Beevers

5 Lee Beevers
He is brave he is hard. He has given blood for the cause on numerous occaisions.

Yet still Lee has his critics even though he has only just turned 24. Certainly Beevers is a Jack of all trades and a master of none. Yet he embodied our never say die attitude last year. Beevers will always be popular with Imp fans because he cares from the kick-off to the final whistle. Put him as a defensive midfielder, fullback or centre back and he will do a job. He has height power and a tackle like an axe swing. Indeed ahead of the Kovaks deal he is still the only bloke in the Squad the Imps have paid for (the deal involved 50 grand to Boston).

I have a feeling he will only be a bench warmer this season until suspensions and injuries take there toll.

Sorry but Beevers has got away with a lot less criticism than some in my opinion. 24 isn't that young for a footballer, and last season he seemed to be slipping back, not gaining the nous to go with his ability. Has a lot to prove this season I think.

Lee will get his chances this year, and being a battler by nature, having to fight for a place might well be the making of him.

not sure he will feature too heavily this season, unless both brown and giddings (if we sign him) or green are suspended as i think DH will be the first reserve for Little Frank and Big Janos.
