Average Player Ratings V Salisbury (H)
The Imps slumped to their first home defeat of the season on Saturday against Skrill Premier league newcomers Salisbury City, that came with a game plan and delivered it to the letter winning the battle of the Magna Carta Cities.

The Imps were stifled throughout the majority of the game, and showed very little creativity in the final third playing direct and into Salisbury's hands. This has showed up in the fans ratings, with no Imps player who operated ahead of the back four from the start picking up a rating above 6.00.

The big winners on the day, as they have been all season were Andrew Boyce and Sean Newton both scoring 6.41. Both would have jointly collected the magnum of champagne if one were given with these ratings, although the fans may have been more likely to give them the ice cream version rather than alcohol after a fairly poor team display.

Waide Fairhurst felt the brunt of the fans anger with an exceptionally low 4.5 after failing to get in the game. Veterans Nat Brown (5.08) and Luke Foster (5.00) also scored poorly with the faithful with there poor distribution probably the reason.

Danny Rowe (5.08) and Jon Nolan (5.16) struggled to influence the game in the Imps favour leaving them both near the bottom of the pile on the ratings. Jake Sheridan who added energy when introduced scored a respectable 6.25 from the bench.

Imps fans will be hoping that this was a blip and a stronger performance next weekend awaits at The Hive, otherwise it could be a long afternoon against Edgar Davids men in the capital.
