Average Player Ratings For December

It's been a dismal December for City having failed to win in the league in four attempts, having lost to bitter rivals Grimsby Town and having been thrashed by Halifax to top things off. With that in mind, you will probably be unsurprised to know the player ratings aren't very good.

The one bright spark has been Conner Robinson, despite only appearing in three of the five games this month. Robinson has the highest average mark of the whole squad (6.79) thanks to a lively display against Grimsby, a late equaliser away at Chester and a useful shift against Halifax. His score of 7.67 against Grimsby is the best individual display of December and puts him comfortably ahead of the nearest challengers.

Second place then goes to Tom Miller (6.32) who scored 7s at Braintree and Chester but had otherwise quiet games against Gateshead and Grimsby, the latter of which he limped out of at the start of the second half. Miller has regularly been a top performer for the Imps but the fact he comes second this month is mainly due to how terrible everyone else has been, rather than testament to a quality month for the former Rangers full back.

Finally, and the third highest scoring player this month is Luke Foster (6.28). Foster carries on his good form at centre back and his overall rating has steadily improved since Andrew Boyce's departure and the resulting position change. Foster scored and was man of the match against Braintree (7.25) and only dropped below 6 once in the month, scoring 5.29 for his performance against Halifax. A tough month for a centre half but one that Foster comes through with at least a little credit.

Elsewhere and there are an alarming number of first team players who have scored under 5. Nick Wright (3.71), Bohan Dixon (4.55), Alan Power (4.54) and Waide Fairhurst (4.35) are probably the main offenders, although Mo Fofana (4.82) and Todd Jordan (4.99) have only fared marginally better. With all those poor performers you have to worry for the Imps, especially with some more tough games coming up.

Loanees Marlon Jackson and Chris Sharp both only figured twice in December, but scored averages of 5.89.

Great read as usual. Thanks Joe. Keep up the brilliant work!
Would be interested to see aggregate scores league table some time so can see the difference between the players who play 3 games at 8 or those who play 10 games at 7
