Average Player Ratings V Salisbury (A)
A drab affair in Wiltshire was lit up by two stunning strikes, one from Sean Newton and one from substitute Danny Rowe. The latter of which earned City an excellent 2-1 win at the Raymond McEnhill Stadium and a few of the travelling support have kindly provided us with their thoughts!
Man of the match was the first scorer Sean Newton, who curled home brilliantly to equalise in the second half. Newton scored 8.25 which is surprisingly one of the highest scores of an excellent debut season at Sincil Bank. PWould praised a 'class goal' while Bumbleimp lauded a 'solid display'. That ends an usually mediocre run of form for the left-back who has been one of City`s top three players through the whole campaign.
Second was the other goalscorer, Danny Rowe (8.00)! Rowe has been used very sparingly this season but showed his capabilities on Saturday, netting after a powerful yet skilful run at the death. Robbochops argued that the former Barrow man 'changed the game', and it looks like Rowe's biggest impact since he scored against Macclesfield during the first home game of the season! Will he get a few more chances to prove his worth?
Completing the top three was Tom Miller, who else? Miller has been in brilliant form over the last couple of months and looks like a certain player of the season winner. His 7.88 on Saturday takes his average to 6.76, well ahead of Newton who stands at 6.52.
A brief look at posters and Stevie_Imp was the happiest on Saturday at an average of 7.31, while Robbochops' 6.58 was the lowest of the four scores. Thanks to all who contributed!Full ratings are as follows:
