Average Player Ratings For April
Before wrapping up Imps' 2013/2014 campaign with an end of season review, let's have a look who earned the player of the month award for April.
First place goes to on loan centre-back Thierry Audel, who missed a couple of games this month through suspension but performed admirably when called upon. Audel has been a great foil for Nat Brown's experience and scored 8.5 and 7.82 against Wrexham and Cambridge respectively to help secure an overall mark of 7.63. Can the Imps prise the Frenchman from League One Crewe?
The second highest scorer (although only appearing long enough to be rated in three of the five matches) was Danny Rowe. The Imps' number 9 has played a bit part role at most throughout this campaign but gave Gary Simpson food for thought with several impressive displays and a couple of goals. The former Barrow forward scored 7.33 including marks of 8 at Salisbury and 7.7 at Wrexham to secure a position in the top three for the first time.
Just about rounding off the top three is Tom Miller (7.30) who's only blip was on the final day against Barnet (6.33, which isn't a blip by post players standards)! Otherwise Miller didn't drop below 7 and was the man of the match against Dartford. A great player who deserved the player of the season award!
Elsewhere and very honourable mentions go to Sean Newton (7.29), Jake Sheridan (7.25) and Ben Tomlinson (7.00) who all would have snatched the top spot in October, November and December.
