The Imps succumbed to their first defeat of the 2014-15 season with a 3-2 defeat away at early pace setters FC Halifax Town, but a few players still impressed in the narrow defeat!

One of those was Jon Nolan (7.50), who continued his fine start to this campaign with a confident midfield display in which he tried to get the Imps moving. Several posters noted that they were surprised he was substituted, while Brown Imp noted that Nolan was a 'joy to watch'.

Ben Tomlinson then came in second place, with the striker netting his second goal of the season from the penalty spot. Last season's top scorer didn't quite start the season on fire, but now appears to be finding some form and a rating of 7.25. RussC said that Tomlinson shaded man of the match in his opinion, and awarded the striker an 8 for a performance full of endeavour and direct running.

Third then goes to Sean Newton who has had an impressive start to the season and continues to contribute with dangerous crosses and assists! The left-back scored 7.00 this week, to go with an 8.00 and an 8.50 against Barnet and Altrincham respectively. Brown Imp argued that he was a little more pinned back than usual in Bank Holiday Monday's affair, with both a winger and a full back advancing on him for much of the game!

No-one fared particularly badly - especially when you compare scores to the last few seasons - but Bencherif suffered for his sending off and Tony Diagne was criticised for giving away two penalties in two games. Poster wise, Rigby 23 was narrowly the highest scorer (6.54) while Brown Imp and RussC both saw similar performances to award the same lowest score (6.36).

The average mark was 6.43.
