2. Why did City's game at Braintree Town on Saturday 3 September 2011 kick off at 7pm?
It was shown live on television by broadcaster Premier Sports, who usually changed their scheduled games to Friday evening or occasionally Saturday evening. City were shown three times in the opening three months of their first Conference season and lost all three (Wrexham at home on 19 August, Braintree, and the home game against Fleetwood on 14 October).
3. Which City player from the Conference era has a first class honours degree in law?
Richard Hinds, who was awarded his degree from the Open University in 2011. And for your information, the only other person active in English football today with a law degree is...West Ham manager Slaven Bilic.
4. ...and which one has a degree in psychology?
5. What is the relevance of 16 years, 71 days?
The age of Jordan Thomas when he became the youngest player ever to appear in a competitive first team match for City, at home to Mansfield in the Conference Premier match on 18 October 2011. Thomas went on to make only one more appearance for City, as a substitute in the FA Trophy game at home to Carshalton on 14 January 2012. He was eventually released in May 2014 and spent a few months at Spalding United before leaving football to continue his education.
6. Who was banned from driving in November 2015 for two speeding offences?
Delano Sam-Yorke, who was caught speeding on Broadgate twice within a fortnight.
7. ...and who had his car crushed in December 2011?
Former City midfielder Ali Fuseini, who was jailed on 8 December 2011 for 10 weeks on two counts of driving while disqualified; the original 12-month driving ban had been imposed in December 2010 for aggravated taking of a motor vehicle. His car - a silver Mini - was confiscated at the time of his imprisonment to stop him driving again on his release. He had left City by mutual consent on 25 November 2011.
Fuseini had an interesting 12 months. Shortly after picking up his driving ban, and shortly after signing for City on 31 January 2011, he was cleared at Blackfriars Crown Court of kidnapping and aiding and abetting a rape of an 18-year old girl in London.
8. When was a Lincoln game postponed because the players simply had nothing to wear?
Eastleigh away on 15 November 2014. The players were forced to evacuate their hotel (the Southampton Hilton) at 11.15am due to a fire and were not allowed to re-enter in time to collect their kit and personal belongings. The earliest they could have entered the hotel was expected to be 4pm, so realistically the game could not have started before 5pm, which is outwith Conference League guidelines.
They could have borrowed a kit, as Impartiality suggests, but they wouldn't have had any boots to wear. As John Vickers said at the time, 'The players cannot be expected to play in flip-flops.'
9. Which player earned a loan move to City by ringing up and asking if they might be interested?
Jordan Keane, who signed on loan from Alfreton on deadline day (26/3/2015) until the end of the 2014-15 season. Keane played 7 games for the Imps but failed to earn a permanent deal and returned to Alfreton. He joined Nuneaton Town a few weeks later.
10. What was unusual about City's last game under Steve Tilson and the first game without him?
The attendances at both games were identical - 1,232 at both Tamworth on 8 October 2011 and at Alfreton on 11 October. The results were very different, though - a 0-4 defeat and a 3-1 victory respectively.
There will be no quiz next week because I am not around. Next quiz Monday 4 July.
