Vital Lincoln City Members MOTM v Torquay United (h)
The Vital Lincoln City Members Voted for who they believe was The Imps Man of The Match in our 2-1 win at home against Torquay United in the Vanarama National League.

Here's how the Poll finished:

Farman: 9.68%
Habergham: 54.84%
Waterfall: 3.23%
Muldoon: 12.9%
Rhead: 0%
Long: 0%
Raggett: 0%

Woodyard: 0%
Knott: 0%
Ginnelly: 0%
Whitehouse: 0%
Anderson: 0%
Marriott: 19.35%

Comments:

Luke Imp: "Ironically, Habergham got the MOTM award off the back of others not performing rather than him being outstanding.

I know that sounds daft, and that's a compliment to him rather than a criticism, but he's unspectacular and goes about his business nice and quietly. I didn't even realise he had as many as assists as he has.

Cowley calls him '7', but I think that's proved a bit stingy!"

German Imp: "Habergham all the way.

Ginnelly I thought had a good game, although Woodyard was not up to his usual high standards, I thought he gave the ball away a number of times. We won and at this nail biting time of the season that is all that matters."

plumbob: "I've gone for Farman. A couple of quality saves. First half, in particular, close range header very low to his left. Not many in this league would have stopped that, and it could have been a real game changer had it gone in. Aside from an error between him and waterfall he was superb."

Big Jack McGinley: "Some decent individual performances and a couple of below par all added to a bit of a disjointed team display.

I thought Muldoon played very well, constant menace to their defence. Long , Waterfall and Raggett were solid but none of Woodyard, Knott or Ginnelly reached their usual levels. Farman made an excellent important save.

Alan Power quite rightly got a lot of plaudits for stepping up to take the penalty against Brighton. Using the same logic Sam Habergham deserves extra praise for that free-kick at such a crucial time. He'd had a good game up until that moment, but that one kick alone was vital."

NottyImp: "Habergham for me, but pleased Marriott got to play a crucial role in the win as well."
