Average Player Ratings v Wycombe Wanderers (a)

Average Player Ratings v Wycombe Wanderers (a)
Well, we're back in the Football League, our first game is over and we have stretched our unbeaten run to 12 games. Six players made their debuts, but how did they compare to the old timers?

Pretty well, is the answer. Not only does new signing NEAL EARDLEY top the poll for game number one, he also takes an early lead in our Player of the Season race.

"My man of match. Looks a class above, keep him fit and him and Sam will see us sound at full back." (Gaz_Imp)

"If this is him playing out of position..., looking forward to him playing at rb. Covered around the back of the cb's a couple of times, like a good fb should do." (nlondonimp)

"Excellent debut. So obvious that he's played at a much higher standard." (robbochops)

In second place comes SEAN RAGGETT at the end of a week which Danny Cowley suggested was pretty fraught for all parties. It doesn't seem to have affected him for one moment, but was this his final appearance as an Imp?

"Exceptional. Spent whole game being fouled by Akinfenwa with an incompetent referee. Still won nearly everything. Would be a huge loss." (Rasenimp)

"Different class today, held a new back four together, strong and aggressive. If only we could keep him, but I fear it might have been his last game in a city shirt, and on today's performance it's obvious why." (Cambridgeimp83)

"Did well won his first five headers in a row. Probably put his price up, waved goodbye?" (berksimps)

In third place, we have an old favourite making his second debut for the Imps, JOSH GINNELLY. Josh scored his first goal for the club, and also his first in the Football League to earn City a point.

"Much more composed than last season. seems stronger, quicker as well. Good goal.(something missing from his game last season) he will hold his place on this performance." (Croozey)

"Quick, confident, made tackles, took his goal. A monster improvement." (berksimps)

"Very bright, looks stronger, and like he now knows the method... no longer a guest." (nlondonimp)

The average team score of 6.76 represents a very solid start to life in League Two.

1. Neal Eardley 7.78
