Average Player Ratings v Accrington Stanley (h)

Average Player Ratings v Accrington Stanley (h)
Taking top spot for the second game in a row is MATT RHEAD, back in the starting line up and back in the goals this month. The big man now has 41 goals for the club, and is well on his way to the half-century. How good it would be to see him get there this season.

"Perfect game for the Big Un, feisty and with the opposition trying to wind him up. One day he might get at least half of the decisions go for him." (MaineRoad_96)

"In the best form this season atm mainly due to good varied service delivered to him. Cool finish and good performance." (johnolbe)

"Back to his fighting best, great touches for a big man." (impsimps)

In second place comes the resurgent MATT GREEN, scoring for the fourth game in a row. Between August 2010 and August 2011, he went 41 games without scoring, then scored 28 in the next 41. Hopefully he has started on a similar run.

"Transformation to a month ago, shows what condidence can do." (impsimps)

"Good penalty and confidence has returned with 4 goals in 4 games now." (Stevie_imp)

"You can see his confidence is up again, makes such a difference." (Red Wimp)

In third place we have former Welsh international NEAL EARDLEY. Is it beyond the realms of possibility that another cap could be in the offing if City can continue their run up the Football League? Hard to believe he was a free agent.

"Superb display at both ends of the field with an unerringly accurate left-footed cross to Rhead for the second. Nicely judged professional foul too, to halt a dangerous Accy attack, which should have resulted in a booking." (syimp)

"Consistently awesome. Another assist for Rhead. Utterly committed to the cause." (takeyourblueshirtoff)

"The best trialist we've ever signed?" (MaineRoad_96)
